FIX8Group was appointed by Event HouseProductions to deliver full technical production and scenic services for the B&M Supplier Conference, a major corporate event hosted at the Titanic Hotel,Liverpool.
The event welcomed B&M suppliers from across the UK, with morning and afternoon sessions designed to engage, inform, and inspire the supply network.
Challenge
While the venue offered a stunning backdrop, it posed logistical challenges:
Articulated vehicles couldn’t access the site, so all gear had to be delivered using 26T trucks.
The schedule allowed only a two-day build, one-day event, and overnight de-rig.
Creatively, the client wanted a departure from a typical corporate look, seeking a set design that reflected both B&M’s supply chain identity and the venue’s industrial heritage.
The Solution
Working in close partnership with Event House, FIX8Group provided a turnkey creative and technical solution, transforming the historic venue into a modern, high-impact conference environment, utilising industrial racking and novel set pieces to bring the environment to life.
Key elements included:
A bespoke main stage measuring 32ft x 12ft, flanked by custom-built racking units and sponsor-branded light boxes, creating a dramatic and cohesive visual centrepiece.
Dual laser projectors, flown from a truss to display presentations and video playback on a custom-designed screen.
Creative lighting throughout the venue, including intelligent moving fixtures, up lighters, and haze to bring atmosphere and depth to all spaces.
A tension fabric scenic system mounted on an aluminium frame, an eco-conscious and reusable alternative to traditional wood-based sets.
Printed branding and graphics, including 2m-tall light boxes in networking areas and external window graphics to capture attention from the moment delegates arrived.
A bespoke registration desk and branded signage throughout the reception, mezzanine, and plenary areas to ensure a consistent delegate experience.
A separate networking suite with sponsor branding and carefully designed lighting to encourage interaction and engagement.
Production& Pre-Event Services
FIX8Group managed all pre-production and compliance requirements, including:
Detailed CAD drawings, 3D renders, and visualisations to guide the creative process.
Health and safety management, including risk assessments, CDM compliance, and full on-site support throughout the event.
Presentation processing, ensuring all slides and video content were optimised and displayed seamlessly.
