The opportunity we are recruiting is Project Manager / Technical Events Manager.

Ultimately, your success will be demonstrated by successful execution and creation of fantastic looking events. The role is part of the projects team and reports to the Senior Project Manager with the key focus around management and delivery of client projects. You will be expected to be the key point of contact for any and all matters of a project and communicate in a cohesive manner to all interested parties. Day to day you may be based in the office, proactively preparing for a project or on site involved in in the build and delivery of an event – the role will be varied, exciting and multi disciplined.

Other key attributes of the role:

• Building robust relationships internally and externally with Freelancers and clients
• Generation of site plans and layouts incorporating client requirements, venue constraints and practicalities of build. Subsequently ensuring timely and accurate communication of plans
• Assist with planning and scheduling project milestones, timelines and the critical path utilising suitable tools
• Clearly communicate the event needs to the team and deliver on time without fail
• Determining the people and equipment resources required for delivery of an event and ensuring these are booked within a timely manner
• Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed
• For each project which you are the ‘Senior’ on site person, undertake Risk Assessments for the event and be responsible for all Health and Safety matters
• Responsible for internal quality process of the approach to projects, making continual improvements to refine and enhance the business
• Assist the Warehouse Manager and Technical Director with any planning and preparation of equipment associated with project delivery

We are looking for someone to get stuck in, helping to deliver whatever is required on site, having a logical, technical and practical approach in achieving solutions, whilst ensuring the projects are delivered in a safe and secure manner with due consideration for the welfare of all involved.

Who we are looking for:

• Industry experience is highly desirable or significant experience from a technical or electrical industry
• 2+ years of experience in a similar role
• Proficient in the use of software systems to support the project life cycle. Good experience of AutoCAD, Rental and Team management systems, Excel competency, schematic software are all advantageous to the role, but demonstrable aptitude in comparable software and a willingness to learn would be enough to progress.  Experience of Adobe Creative Suite and content manipulation would be a bonus
• Strong project management and organisational skills
• Exceptional attitude to health and safety – as a business we don’t take risks
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work with a matrix of stakeholders and the confidence to drive projects through with management and external suppliers
• Someone who can operate autonomously but enjoy being part of a busy creative team
• Works well under pressure, dependable and resilient
