This year we have delivered a large number of new projects with new and existing clients and we are now busier than ever before. To support this, we have expanded and strengthened our Operations team.
Peter Kay’s ‘Dance for Life’ 2017 tour was a series of fundraising ‘dance-a-thon’ parties, with all profits going to Cancer Research UK. FIX8Group were chosen to support the show, produced by SJM Concerts (Production team Andy Redhead, Mike Oates and Laura Bartlett) and designed by Simon Barrington (Show Producer) with LED screens, cameras and playback control for seven arena shows where ‘DJ PK’ transformed them into giant grown up discos.
FIX8 were approached by Director of Photography Shaun Atherton to help bring his and Beautiful Productions ideas for the latest video advertising campaign for the new Umbro Velocita boot to life. We advised Shaun on the best fixtures to use to create the best effects possible as well as sourcing the suppliers for the equipment. We chose to use PRG to supply all the moving lights and cable infrastructure and they were more than willing to take on this challenge, which due to studio availability had a tight timeframe.
LeadDog Marketing Group, the award-winning, integrated experiential marketing agency, recently appointed event technologist FIX8Group to manage, design and deliver the visual and digital technology for a boutique experiential installation in both Paris and London on behalf of the $46bn global personal technology company Lenovo.
Aimed at a curated group of Lenovo’s customers, the events attracted top architecture/engineering and technical firms to discover and experience the latest in Lenovo computer technology.
We were pleased to work with re:production providing Lighting Design support in their Christmas video advertising campaign for Dreams- ‘Replace Every 8 This Christmas!’
We were proud to support Royal Air Force Brize Norton at Brizefest in September where we provided video mixing and camera infrastructure. Brizefest, which has run since 2008, is a huge event which attracts around 10,000 Service personnel, family and friends.
Ashgabat, Turkmenistan – Visual production expert FIX8Group successfully managed and delivered a complex projection and content management project for an event staged by Turkish construction group Polimeks for the Government of Turkmenistan to launch the country’s brand new, state of the art international airport.
FIX8Group sent in one of its top projection mapping teams for the unusual ten-day project, which culminated in a mixed media spectacular that centered around Turkmenistan culture and history. Held on 17th September at Ashgabat Stadium, the event was attended by more than 20,000 people.
FIX8Group has been shortlisted for three awards at two of the Entertainment Technology sector’s major awards ceremonies; the AV and the Entertainment Technology (ET) Awards 2016.
Shortlisted for ‘Production, Rental & Staging Company of the Year’ at the AVs in September the group is also nominated for ‘Best Projection Mapping’and the ‘Best Technology Partnership’in the ET Awards in November.
FIX8Group have been busy developing FIX8Studio: a fully supported visualisation and training space at the company’s Stockport headquarters, which gives visiting production companies, studios and creatives direct access to the latest digital content control and interactive resources.
FIX8Group was part of the team operating the stunning video content for all 43 competing acts as well as pop megastar Justin Timberlake’s performance at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 (ESC 2016).
